Cadet of the Month

For professional achievement in the superior performance of her duties while serving from February 2026 to March 2026. In addition to fulfilling her regular, demanding duties as Commanding Officer of the SRHS Navy JROTC unit, Cadet Trujillo planned, programmed, and flawlessly executed the 2026 SRHS Navy JROTC Military Ball. Garnering attendance of over 80 cadets, Cadet Trujillo influenced the perfect balance of professional and fun, exemplifying the spirit of a Military Ball. In keeping with the highest ideals of NJROTC Cadet Staff expectations, Cadet Trujillo completed all activities with minimal guidance and support from the NJROTC instructors. C/LCDR Melissa Trujillo’s exemplary leadership, unfailing kindness, and unswerving dedication to duty reflected credit on her and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps.

Cadets of the Month are selected during the months of academic year beginning in September and ending in April.  Cadets are selected based on demonstrated leadership potential, dedication to the Navy JROTC program, and positive example set for other cadets.
