What is STEM? 

The U.S. Naval Academy focuses on four areas during the Summer STEM Program:  Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.  This program is designed to encourage rising 8th  - 11 graders to pursue a course of study in engineering and technology throughout high school and college.

Dates and Grade Levels:

TBD for 2016 .................................Rising 8th and 9th grade students

TBD for 2016  ................................Rising 10th grade students

TBD for 2016     .............................Rising 11th grade students


Student Selection:

* Applications are available at the USNA STEM website.  Click HERE to go to that website.

* Students must be entering 8th - 11th grade in the following school year.

* Selection is based on the following criteria:
   - Student accomplishments inside the classroom
   - Student accomplishments outside the classroom
   - Geography

*  All applicants will be notified of their status by May 1st.

Program Tuition & Travel Expenses

The tuition to attend a session is $450.00.  Scholarships are available based on financial need.  More information on scholarships is available on the USNA STEM website.

Each student is responsible for arranging transportation to and from the Naval Academy.
Plan to bring spending cash for snacks and souvenirs.  More information on airports and flights is available on the USNA STEM website.
